I've configured all my server files and got all my cvar's, etc. When I run ....Sierra/halflife/hlds-tfc all I get is team fortress classic. I noticed in the server.cfg gile for NTF it says : // NeoTF CVARs

// put "exec ntf_cvars.cfg" in your server.cfg to load this file.

I suspect this where I'm screwing up. Where do I put the exec ntf_cvars.cfg?

I don't know, but talk to Munkey, he used to run the NeoTF server around here, although I think he is in the process of moving to Boston.

In your TFC folder. Pretty much anything that ends in .cfg goes into your TFC folder, unless it says otherwise.

That's an awesome tip Snaggletooth. But I'm still confused because it says to:

put "exec ntf_cvars.cfg" in your server.cfg to load this file. If you know anything else, please let me know, this is driving me NUTS! thanks again

Type "exec ntf_cvars.cfg" in your server.cfg file.

It's just another variable that gets executed when the server config file is loaded at the startup of a round.
Like this:

cr_sniper -1
sv_maxrate 9000
sv_friendlyfire 0
exec ntf_cvars.cfg

'exec' is just an indicator for the server to execute (run) the file that follows the exec command.

Excellent advice again Snaggle. I did that, and now when I run it it says "couldn't exec ntf_cvars.cfg"

Here's my server.cfg file, is there anything worng with the way I have set it up?

Remove the " marks.

.....Doesn't need to be there.

You just need to put the file

ntf_cvars.cfg, which contains all of ^^^^ that in it, in your main TFC folder.

w00t!! I'm gonna play there as soon as TFC has finished downloading again

Sooo.....is it going to become TV4? Or is it going to stay as Stoney's server? Either way, I love NeoTF!!

A suggestion - if you want more people, talk to Rob, and make it a TV server ( if he allows it ).

I would love to contribute to TVB. But I don't think my computer would be able to handle a lot of players. It's a 450 P3 256Ram 100/cable connection. What do you think? Plus I would need help getting HLGuard going.

A 192.xx.xxx.xx IP is a router assigned IP. Are you behind a firewall or a router/hub of some sort? If you are, you'll have to open a portal through the firewall so you can see your server's true IP.
