I quit my game, quit TFC and return to Windows (XP Home), but the task manager still shows hl.exe in the Processes list, using over 40MB of memory. Any way of stopping this from happening, without having to go into taskbar every time and end the process myself?

It's just a pain, as other programs I run afterwards, like Outlook Express or IE6, freeze unless I follow that procedure

Hold on.

*pulls out big gulp out of cup holder cd-drive*

*slurp*

You mean you go into the Task manager everytime and end the process?

*slurp*

*puts big gulp down on new cd coaster*

Because I have to do that sometimes, but it for some reason stays at the same res as half life runs in.

*lays on my bed and presses the sleep button on my computer*

Hope that CD-drive tasted good.

Yeah, I have to go into task manager to close it down. But I don't have the resolution problem - it switches back to what it ought to be. But everything else becomes 'Not Responding' if I forget to do this. Maybe I'll start remembering.
