wow -- its still being played -- spain were leading 1 nil throught -- then irland got a penalty in the last miniute and SCORED

its in extended time -- then it will go to the golden goal and maby even penalties -- its so exiting

come on IRLAND

yippy -- at least ENGLAND r still in -- they against brazil next (if they win their game) -- thats gonna b a hard game for england -- a brill game to watch

I just watched the rebroadcast of this match... and it was indeed a great game. I was pulling for Ireland throughout, but Cassillas the Spanish goalkeeper was just amazing to watch. Actually, both goalkeepers had some amazing saves but Cassillas with *three* penalty kick saves is just outstanding. Rivaling Mr. Friedal from team USA. It's a shame that 2nd or 3rd Irish kicker hit the crossbar... that shot would've sailed right in.

Now let's just hope that the USA can pull together after the loss to Poland and give a good showing to rival Mexico. Now that the US's backline is being changed up (bye bye Agoos!) they hopefully won't suffer so many goals off the set plays. Should be a good match none the less, and I hope everyone here will tune it at 2:25 eastern to watch. :usa

im rooting for the US aswell -- but ENGLAND is the main team im supporting

i'll probably only c the highlights though -- as brittish terestrial tv probably wont show it -- i havent got cable, sky or anything like that just a standard tv arial -- sob sob -- another thing to beg my parents to get after they get broud band -- i havent even got them warm on the broud band idea yet -- sob sob
