Practice headshots any time you can, at first you will die a few more times while lining up the shot but in the end you will become far more deadly than before. you can get more kills faster and you can save yourself when you have an hw charging at you. So get practicing.
One more thing, the more you care about dying the better you will be. as a sniper you can have decent controll over you own fate some times standing around that extra half second to kill the solly will save your life when he cant chase you down.
yeah so i thought of some more things. when playing against a team with good spies (Frag, omega initiative ect) watch out for demomen and any one else who seems to be moving to fast for their class. spy check all spies that you see because it cant hurt you, shoot all retreating engies with railguns. if you see too many of one clase start shoting the one that is acting wierd. if you see any one lobing nades in your base shoot them and most importantly cover yourself, look around when your charging. one last thing when facing Albino Gibion on avanti when your sniping by the lader near point 2 if you see him firing gl nades at you run straight off the ledge, DONT RETREAT THROUGH THE DOOR if you do so the nade that he has already lobed will kill you.

And don't snipe a flying medic in maps with an abundance of concs, like Badlands. Cause i will get you. Come at you like a tornado of shotgun shells and grenades.
