Hope this saves somebody some pain. When initially downloading X-Plug, I went for the much smaller minimum install. After installing, it would crash the browser (IE 5) whenever you viewed a page with an X-Plug window. Went through the usual stuff - reboot, kill all the TSRs, reinstall. No luck. Went back and downloaded the full install - worked like a charm. So you might want to just go right for the full install.

Have you added the correct command line within XPlug? It should be something like "-game cstrike" or "-game counterstrike".
The exact command can be found in the shortcut on the desktop, used to start CS normally.
And you still have to tell XPlug where to find your HL.exe file. |

No I-m playing TFC with a cstrike edition of HL...
But the command line syntax didn't do any good. I had tried that one already. I'm wondering what .exe it's looking for.. |

I didn't do the easy thing and that was make a copy of my cstrike.exe rename it to hl.exe and put it back to the cstrike directory and it works.. |
