[OSU Snipe Shocker]

That last poem was so sh*tty that I had to drag a poem that I had written a couple weeks ago out.

This one is called Primavera. It means "Spring" in Italian and Spanish

primavera.


Wooden Behemoths shed the cold of winter,
exchanged for the haze of spring.
The halo of green above the boughs.
First buds of April,
signal the coming of May.

Ash, Oak, Elm, Maple.
Grant respite to the weary wanderer.
Under their newly born leaves,
shade now present where once was snow.
The grass beneath;
thick and welcoming.
A bed of nature on which to pass the day.

Trees awakening from their season-long slumber
greet the sky with opened arms,
Beg the sun to treat their leaves.
tiny leaf-lings barely visible close up,
hardly forgettable from afar.
