server listing- stinky

in the HL server browser, i can only update EVERY one of the 23,000 HL servers, no matter what im filetering..is anyone else having htis problem? ive never seen it before...that list is HUGE!

use all seeing eye, and only filter to tfc, so it updates to only tfc too

Are you sure? If you have "is running game XXXXX" checked, it should only update those servers. Otherwise, It's sometimes worth updating the entire list, but refreshing is a lot easier, and less time consuming.

I had that problem a couple weeks ago. I had the TFC filter on and it still ran over 23,000 servers. I made the mistake of trying to kill it and had to run it again anyway.

I remember the dark days of dial-up (about 5 weeks ago LOL) when refreshing the whole list took about 15 minutes or so it seemed. What I do is set all servers I play on in my favorite list and only refresh those. Hope that helps.

I personally use the console, a heck of a lot easier than that refreshing server lists stuff, unless you don't want to play on the ville for some reason.
