Daily Award Records

I was thinking it might be nice to keep track of the all time highest values for the daily awards.

I just came across an old post where MunkeyEye was being congratulated for getting 139 Det Pack Kills. So my 98 and Borgs 125 and 137 weren't records, but I think it is safe to say my 310 is. I remember KRG getting like over 500 SG kills

(sorry I can't remember the exact number) and I know I had 107 kit kills as a medic once. I really have no idea what a record would be for some of the other awards.

Does anyone else think this would be a good thing ? Or do you think it might lead to stat freaks not being team players in search of the ultimate award ?

I got 525 rocket kills in a day...Could we get an all time record page...would be kinda cool.

DaD, I did kill over 500 sg's in a week.

I was so proud! I can't remember the end total either. As for hurting team play? My team capped because there were no sg's to stop them! Sure, some people would let this get the better of them but for the most part, I don't see how it would hurt anything.

Sounds like a great idea!

Hmmm, I think the only thing I might stand a chance for getting is either the spanner kill or the dispenser kill trophy there. I suck at everything else compared to everyone here at the ville. Oh well, guess this'll give me even more emphasis to improve

Ah...is this weekly or daily?

I think an all time daily award thing would rule, but a weekly would kinda suck. Say, if Dad went for he detpack award, but he could only play for four days a week, and I went for the detpack, and I played seven days a week, then I would probably get it, even if Dad is a much better player then me. Just an all time daily award record page would be good. And 107 medipack kills?!?! That's amazing. Well done.

Oh, and no, I don't think this would affect team play very much, because, we'll use KRG's example, he killed all the sg's for the team, so they could cap. Some people ** Svvord

** but it would be good.

Another good reason why we should have this is beacause, although stats are gone, you can't kill competition. It's in everyone's blood, weather you like it or not. This might, just might, cause a bit of selfishness and affect "team play before anything else", but it would be interesting to see all the high scores. If I ever do get one, you guys will never hear the end of it

That's right KRG, that was when the stats got reset every week. I was wondering how you did that in 1 day

when I seem to get 70 or 80 per day tops.

Maybe if we ask Rob real nicely something automated could be thrown together.

ahhhh

However, I do remember svvord I think turning around the very next week topping my weekly record. I forget how many it was but it was a lot!

I think it's hard to not become a stat-junkie if there are any stats at all... but for daily award records, how can it really hurt teamplay if someone is trying to frag the most/cap the most? As long as there's nothing about KTD ratios or "skill points", I don't think it'll turn bad.

Oh, and my daily award record is my 12 Dispenser kills, haven't seen that topped
