hey...someone told me of something i hadn't seen before...he told me to type cl_gibcount 9999 into my console..so i did and it makes 5 times as much blood and guts when someone gets shot...its not a cheat or anything...its bitchin...check out the pic from Osaka i took(head shot

It will really make a mess out of a busy map:)

It might cause you lag though as your computer is going to be busy.

Turn you decal duration up and then you will be in a river of gibs

mmm...river... i did that once with way high decals, gibcount, giblife, and some other thing and it even caused my beautiful box to stutter a bit, but the effect was great...hehe

I have a lot of those but mine made my HD full so i had to delete them, lol, but i had the entire part of cap 1 in avanti filled with gibs and blood

hehe, nothing better than blowing up 3 ppl at one time with your ntf_mine_det and see three ppls parts go all over the place. It was rather a mess.

As far as lag, Im guessing it would be more of a Graphics Card issue than anything. All the information you get is the same so ping shouldn't change, but you will get what looks like lag cause your hardware more so your graphics card cant keep up. The default setting for gibcount for me was 4. I assume you can set it anywhere inbetween and find a spot that doesnt choke your system.

Ok, so who is going to set the time they get displayed to 9999 and post a messy screenshot.

I'll do it tonight if no one else does.

One other thing, if you edit your config file and want to remember the setting before, type just above it ////was set to 4. That way you can change settings or explain what you added does.

to turn all the extra blood and guts off...just change the cl_gibcount 9999 to a lower number such as cl_gibcount 0500 or all the way down to 0001

well i went and messed around on well trying to see what gibtime set to 9999 would do. Didnt seem to make them last any longer. Didnt help my kill/death ratio much trying to blow ppl up to see gibs either. LOL
