I have noticed in certain rounds that the toughest times we had trying to cap when on offense, were times when the defense was pushing forward not sitting back and waiting. Just pretend like you are going to cap one of the points (within respawn limits though)instead of defending them. Having Soldiers and spies running around between 1 and 2, when we are going for 3, makes it very difficult to get anything done.

Couldn't agree more Albion everyone think attack attack don't hang back and be a looky loo. Get in there down and dirty with rules in mind and above all have fun.

That works most of the time, but make sure you have something back. I was playing once, when the enemy was almost in our respawn, considering we had capped 3. At 1 minute left, I said screw it. Went around back of the church as a spy. then went to cp3, I noticed everything was clear, got flag and ran it We/I got 4. My team was so darn happy and the other team couldn't belive it.

Yes, you are right. Especially if the other team has scouts or a good spy going. Caps 1 and 2 are going to happen eventually. 3 is another story. It is the toughest and it makes it even tougher when the defense is pressing the issue. 4 is kind of tough too, with the same tactic.

Havent seen anything more effective than an offensive spy on defense avanti. Especially when they're going for 2 and 4. sneak down to prev cap point...follow the heards of sniper/hw into the fight and give them a good wack to the skull.
82-12 offensive spy avanti. Still proud of myself =) |

The problem with being on the offensive side of that is that other players on your team forget about capping and just try to survive.
It kind of goes back to using your head and thinking about what you are going to do instead of just blindly running around shooting people of the other color. I've found that sometimes I can go for the cap against an offensive defense and get past them before they can stop me. Also, when you are on offense in that senario, don't bunch up. One good HWGuy, Medic, Demo or even Soldier can do a lot of damage to your whole team when you allow yourself to get caught in some of those Avanti bottlenecks.

This is what can happen when you have a good offensive defense:
We held them for most of game below cp3.

Also - I have been playing on TV1 and getting lagged so I mess around. Scout fulltime, I run around behind the current cap taking 1/3 of the team with me. Leaving 2/3 to defend the cap. On D I do the same I go shoot the snipers and just be a pest taking ppl with me. I drop Caltrops ALL over making them go het healed or fight while walking. It seems to work well and I get to die alot it is a Blast.
