I run a ATI Radeon DDR 64 and was messin with drivers and came across a setting someone recommended on a forum so I'm passing it along. If you installed the ATI fix there will be a line in your config.cfg that says ati_npatch "1.0". Change that value to "0". I gained between 20-30 fps just by doing that alone. BTW, if for some reason your running this card the 3276 driver works the best for me. |

Well I have a ATI Fury installed using that patch. I wonder if that is the answer to my problem. Thanks.

I also use an ATI ... so what exactly does this do by setting it to 0? Where do I set it at? and will it affect anything else?

I havent noticed a thing at all except for the gain in FPS. You find the file in your halflife/tfc folder. File name is config.cfg
Not sure what it does but it definitely helps and doesnt seem to hurt anything. |

Did this help anyone else? Maybe post your before and after fps if it did help. I'm thinking it might just improve it by a percentage over what you old FPS was.
