Latly, i've seen all over problems of just, well, hostility. You know, like the subject says. People saying, "My team sucks!", or, "My team is full of idiots!", etc, etc, whenever thier team happens to be doing not so well. It's mostly in just passer-throughs... but i regret to say i've seen such in a few regulars here latly.

Guys.

Calm, down.

A few reasons why you should... Calling your team idiots or whatever when they arn't doing well accompishes nothing. At all.

Besides, did -you- like it when -you- were a newb and people said that to you? Didn't think so.

Another thing, is, even if it isn't as huge of a breach as some people, it's still a breach in rule number one. Respect your fellow players. They can be a newb that shoots MGs, a regular, average, TYO line-level player, or they could be an admin, or, just a respected regular around here.

It doesn't matter. Everyone is equal, when it comes down to who should respect who.

I'm not saying you have to particularly -like- everyone, though that's always a plus... But those newbs that don't listen can get frustrating, i know. But at very least you should respect them.

Anyway. That's the end of my... uhm... pseudo soapbox time/rant. I thank you for your time.

i say "you guys suck" all the time.. heh i'm never serious when i say it though. usually when i say this, i'm including myself in it too, because i have the lowest score. last night it was brought to my attention that some people didn't realize i was kidding, so i guess i'll start adding my wink to it when i write it..

<--- guilty of this sometimes, yes I realize this is just a game, and it doesn't really matter yada yada yada blah blah blah. But I have a VERY short temper for people that act in ways that negatively effect they're team. I'm not talking about a newbi just not know what to do or not knowing what is going on. But people that do things purposefully to bring the game down, like the tool that was on my team yesterday I believe that made sure my MG was always down. Or people that make no effort to do things different even after they've been told what they are doing wrong. Normally i don't really say much of anything while playing unless it's to some of the regulars around here. But oh well.

**steps down from the soapbox**

Computer, that's a bit different. Those arn't newbs or anything, they are just llamas... You should still try not to freak out on them, true, but, being a little more linent with your temper is fine.

Secret; Forgiven in the eyes of jolly.

Whybkuul; You should probably make sure they know you are. With hand language, voice tones, and expressions gone, it's hard to tell when someone is serious or not. But past that, joking is usually no big deal.

Addum: I just read a few new posts, and i've decided that this is bleeding over to the fourms too. Different type of anger, it's more focused here, but, it's still anger. And i think that it might be a great idea for everyone to just calm down, regardless of who or where, for everyones sakes. Saves many people frustration. I personally come here to get away from frustration and have fun. I don't want to end up in a game or start reading the fourms to get more frustrated with everyone cause there is a bunch of yelling or just unpleasent words being tossed around.

Thanks again.

. . . .stands (in breach of copywrite infringement) on a replica of the soapbox.

All that blah boils down to respecting everyone in game. No one really wants to hear trash talk, racist remarks, or arguing in a game. I'm not saying any of you did that ok?! I am just saying this: (And you can quote me on this if I act another way) Regulars and friends know your attitude here. We can laugh off attitude that "we know" is just being playful. However, if we don't know you or you don't know them, the "joke" is lost.

The visitors here make up TheVille as much as it's regulars do. At least that's what I have noticed. The regulars are the people who give TheVille it's personality. If the personality stinks, you'll have less visitors. I like the fact that I can frag somebody in Sweeeeeden or Japan! I have met great people from all over the globe here and we were all visitors at one point.

What is funny to you and I is not always funny to others. The forums and chat room are here for smack talking and arguing. Well, they're not for arguing, but I would rather read it here than in game. So in closing I say, the cows in the chicken but where is the corn?

Exactly, if the Ville gets known as a group of elitist @$$holes, then it might as well be a clan server... no one will ever "wander through". I came here by "wandering through", and I've set up my little campground and have become pretty comfortable here.

You are camping, please move.

Lin, Shut up or i will stab your face off.

Just kiddin'. Yea, Bitter beer, that's one thing i'm worried about... Seems like alot of people latly think we are all just a big old cluster... you know what. I personally usually try to be a good cop for most people (Unless it gets to the point where i'd be doing nothing but holding my fist in the air and shouting "kill whitey" or something, only to have an admin tell me to shut up and put my arm down. ), and i know there are others like me, but... Well, you know what i'm saying. More people should be like us newb helpers/llama reformers.
