Is the I.P. going to be the same ? I have been playing a little 2.0 it's pretty laggy but they are working that out in the next update hehe.The new crosshairs really suck but the new machine guns kick ass

The IP is the same.. It's really laggy if you run it in software mode like I do at work. But everything seems fine using OpenGL.

I tried out DOD 2.0, but when I join a server I get a free hunk error. Its fnie when I create me own server. I've heard this was a pretty common problem, and its fixably on my side (without a patch). Anyone heard what the solution is?

ACK!

I hope its not too bad with software support! Thats the only way I can keep my machine from freezing while playing TFC. Maybe it will be different with DoD. At least it better be after this 2 hour download! Jeez, I tried EVERY server that I could, and this is the best one I could find. To think, a 2 hour download on a LAN connection. *sigh*

I'm not sure which month it was on, but PC Gamer had DOD v2.0 on one of their CDs recently. If you got a slow connection you could try and track it down.

If anyone who wants DOD and is having problems getting it I can rar it up and put it on my ftp for you. This way you can resume and or camp as long as it takes to get it. I'm 56K friendly just pm me for info.

I have the same thing as Frag, only sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. I always get that CACHE HUNK error. GAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

haha i wish i could play DOD but my comp is too slwo..i don't dare try it...but i've heard it's a good game from my friend..and yeah he told me that the cross hairs r bad and the shot recoil is bad too...but he said the machine gun is awesome with the fold out arms...but maybe i will get to play when i get a new comp

Yeah they added some extreme realism this time around. I think the recoil is awesome! It's the most realistic shoot 'em up mod I have seen in a long time.

haha that is what my friend was sayin, he plays TFC and DOD, and he says that they are totall different, mainly in realism, notice with eveyone in TFC when you shoot you don't move, but i've heard in DOD, ur entire screen just speeds away..haha but i like the not so realistic TFC sometimes

I just played my first round of DoD...WOW!

I can't wait to be able to play this with my Ville Buddies!

The sniping is realistic, but I am a bit upset that you can't move once you are zoomed in. Oh well, I guess I'll just have to get used to it
