I recently went to the neotf website (www.neo-tf.com) and learned about the new neo-tf server upgrade thingy. There's even more cool stuff you can so with the new version. So I was wondering, why doesnt The Ville upgrade? Just curious..I think it would be fun with more neo-tf stuff.

The latest version has problems /bugs with the software we are running. I don't know the particulers but Rob and the server admins that are running Neo will put the new version back-up when these issues are worked out.

I got slammed at the NTF site for suggesting better upgrades for the medic... And the solly got *another* toy to play with, an Apache Helecopter. While medics now have a buildspecial that drops an anti grenade launcher on the ground...thats *real* helpful for the medic... right. What medic wants to stand around so he can be protected by his anti nade box?

I've played with the latest neotf, and the real main thing, is the spy ignore on the mgs (The version that the ville runs, has mgs shoot spys, that is a bug). The medic's mg upgrade is cool, the pyro's upgrade is ok. The medic's AG pod is very good in some places, but doesn't have a lot of uses. The apache I do not like.

I played the new neo and I do not like it, way to spammy and a sure to be Llama magnet.
I think the neo writers have lost touch with serveral classes thus making the game unfair for some. I hope we never upgrade to it.

Suckgod, the mg's that shoot spys on TheVille servers is not a bug, the creators have just decided to have spy ignore on their latest release...

Spy ignore is by default on with the new release, the foxbot team made it, not the neotf devs. Mainly because the NeoTF devs couldn't make it (or that's how I read it in the old forums on the neotf site). The creators are major losers (I was banned from their forums for doing nothing). I would like it if just maybe we could get someone with the neotf source to make a version of 1.2 (I think that's what on the ville servers) with spy ignore. I personally hate the mgs shooting spys, but I am not the person to deside that.

Just maybe (this is a long shot) you're on my netblock, seeing as how I'm banned Probably not, the admins are just stupid. Any admin that plays on the server with godmode, and uses things that cannot be destroyed is just annoying.

I really think the Tesla should detect spies since it is upgraded by the spy or scout. I also think the spy should have to depend on a teammate to take out a MG so he can get the SGs. It is a TEAM game and any spy that doesn't like the NEO MGs detecting them is just a backstabbing renagade anyway

I would like to add that CyCoMom plays spy mostly these days and she plays MOSTLY on the NEO servers because it is more challanging

That's just cause mom Kicks so much ass that MGs are like the buzzing of flies to her!

Or something.

Anyway. I don't like the fact that the MGs detect spies. DaD does have a good point: It does help team work. Someone beefy steamrolls the Teslas, or, a pack of guys do, and then the spy can smite the SGs using only thier left thumb. Not thier right thunb, oh now. That is much to powerful for SGs.

Remember that old saying about "what doesn't kill you only makes you stronger?" Well, on a similar (or dissimilar) note, whatever does kill you on a NEO server makes you a better player. Bitter pill to swallow, but I can't imagine MGs not being able to detect spies. It'd become too easy a challenge at that point!

And I agree Neo promotes teamwork:

1.) You need upgrades from teamates to make them work
2.) Without teamwork the offensive team will never get past CP3 on Avanti

If enabled, MGs will ignore disguised spies.
If disabled, MGs will shoot disguised spies.

3 will most likely be upgraded tommorrow.
