Today Steam decided that I no longer own DoD or DoD:S.
"This Steam account does not own this game." 
Earlier, logging out and back in fixed it, but now it is stuck like this. I guess I'll have to wait for Steam fixes itself or something...

Jr,'s had that issue the other day. I had to log all the way out then back in to get it to work. Been working ever since, but on my other sons I had to by a whole new copy.

glad to know im not the only one with this problem the wierd part is it lets me play cs:s or dod:s if i make my own server but no one can connect to it.....

It is a network wide issue. At this point few to any can connect to anything source and if they do they will get kicked in a couple of minutes. And the steam forums are down.
To bad today I have a cal playoff match lol

just had that issue log out of steam then back into it, then i steam go to games and start it up from there

I tried a few 1.3 servers too and it gave me the same error. I was able to find a topic about it in the Steam forum and many people are getting it....

I had to update my video drivers then restart, and it worked finally
