is mcAfee Virus Scanner good?

McAfee is just like Norton (if you ask me)
Windows Defender is just an anti-spyware, and it works really well. It does scheduled cleaning.

I use:
-Windows Defender
-AVG Free Edition (antivirus)
-Spybot Search and Destroy (antispyware)
-Ad Aware (by Lavasoft, also anti-spyware)
-Windows Firewall, coupled with my router's firewall.

Everything above that I use is free. I never have virus/spyware/malware problems.

I've noticed a lot of students where I work have both Spybot and Ad Aware. What's the point of having both installed??

Because Ad-aware shoots towards adware, while spybot shoots towards spyware. Alone their ok, together they rock. Say you just dust out your computer with canned air, thats like using spybot. Use a vaccumm to suck up the remaining dust..thats like adding ad-aware

Ugh, I NEVER use canned air!!

Makes sense for the rest of it though. I just figured that either one got rid of it all.

well i said everything was alirght but im a freakin moron...all the problems returned so im thinkin that theres something wrong wit the computer itself...im gettin pissed off wit dell wit their bullshit service. Im seriously bout to just buy a new comp cause this one is just pissing me off soo soo soo much . then i try to contact a dell support person online but they're too busy so i had to email them...they seriously have till this weekend to fix this problem...otherwise im just gonna ship the remains of my soon to be blown up comp back to them wit a nice lil note attached to it
