This fun n all, talking about the 80's like this. lol now its a theme for a homecoming! I feel for you rANC. If you need advice on easy ways to look "80s" lemme know (Don't forget to peg your pants!). But now I feel old! Worst of all, the mullet is coming back! lol jk I hope that's not true!
I was young in the 80s. I liked mostly metallica, guns n roses, slayer, anthrax, megadeath etc. I also liked RunDMC, Beastie Boys, NWA, TooShort. Remeber 2 live crew!!! Me so horny lol! Maybe that was early 90s but anyway. Nothing in between. I'm still the same way, my music needs to be extreme to be worth listening to. Man I lived thru the 80's.I Graduated high school in 84.
Have to say the music was the bright side of the decade of excess.
1.Van Halen's Women and children first.(I stood in line to get the LP yes vinyl).
2.Talking Heads
3.The Clash (enough said).
And the comeback of the Blizzard of Oz.
And IMHO G&R the best hard rock band to come out of the 80's _________________ "Does another do me wrong? Let him look to it. He has his own disposition, his own activity. I now have what the universal nature wills me to have; and I do what my nature now wills me to do." |

Oh Snap...yeah GNR definitly....and still is one of my fav's
The best voice in my opinion is roy orbison.... here is an amazing video of this once in a life time event.....The event was taped at the legendary Cocoanut Grove in the Ambassador Hotel in Los Angeles. The band was filled up with familiar faces. Among them were Bruce Springsteen, Elvis Costello, k.d. Lang, Tom Waits, Bonnie Raitt, Jennifer Warnes, T-Bone Burnette, Jackson Browne, J. D. Souther, and they were backed up by Elvis Presley's TCB band which included James Burton on guitar. This Special was going to air on Cinemax cable TV on January 1988
definitly gives me goose bumps within every listen....
