Hello all, I'm just here to pimp the PWG server again, before Rob chases me off
PWG is now running a custom version of Avanti. I installed a couple of (nonworking) tank models in the respawns and put up a new sky. The town has a 'nice' WWII feel to it now.
You can download the sky and models here:
http://www.pimpswithgrenades.com/avanti_ww2/avanti_ww2.zip
The server IP is 166.82.168.105:27015 and you will just have to catch Avanti in the rotation or ask an admin to load it up
I'll be looking for more WW2 theamed models soon.

Real nice CStone Man would'nt be cool to play Avanti in say Return to Castle
Wolfenstein atmosphere? I think the map Avanti has everybit the characteristics
of a small german town during ww2. |

I think It'd be cool if they could make a full immersion skinning for TFC so that your teams would look like Axis and Allied soldiers, of course with each class having a different look, but all in the same theme.

That would be fairly difficult Tommy. You would have to completely rebuild the Wolf structures from scratch - there is no simple conversion method that I know of.
Roof the tanks are from a DoD mod called dod_hogan. I found by chance while searching for mdl files on google. Somebody posted the map d/l link and I nabbed the model files. . I will give the author credit when I find out who he is. The sky is from the wadfater (textures and env maps for map makers) http://www.planethalflife.com/wadfather/
PS- didn't anyone see my screenshot of Greebo's 666th post?? Pure evil I tell ya, eviiiil!!
