Error

I get this message everytime I try to join a server....

YOU HAVE BEEN DISTCONECTED FROM THE SEVER
Reason: Error verifying STEAM user ID Ticket ( server was unable to contacted the authentication server)

I was on the server an hour ago I try to go back on and thats all I get... Ive tryed everything I know to get it to work and nothing.....PLEASE HELP I dont have anything but DOD to do allday tommarow.....

Just restart steam. It is an error in steam. Surprised?

yeah just restart steam and it should be all fixed...that's what ive been doin at least

happened to me too

I did restart steam..and my comp...it still came up error...it fixed itself
though...somehow....go figure.

Well that error usually means one of the Steam auth servers is down, or you can't connect to it for some reason. If restarting doesn't work, just wait and it should be fixed soon.

I found if u try to log in as a different user (under settings and a/c) and then log in again under your usual user it help resolve a few steam hiccups

You can also delete the Clientregistry.blob file, that works for some issues.

Yeah, I've gotten that error like 2 times.

It just fixes itself. Nothing horrible. Steam server may be too busy to process the request or something. Just try in a few moments later and it always seems to work again.

Usually if I get any kind of steam error or problem, I head straight to their website for support. Generally someone else has already had the error and they have a fix for it.

If you're like me and your machine is on all day, it won't update by itself....
