Played under the right circumstances, with people who aren't there to become stat freaks, murderball is a blast. It's extremely fun. And if your team has microphones and can communicate via voice, it takes on an entirely new play style.

Yeah I am kind of split on this map. I mean ok no one likes you to kill unless you are killing the ball holder or his/her team. But it happens every game unless there are some admins around. I have admins on speed dial, but it's usually not worth it. Because no one know s the rules! At least no one new to the map. I played it several times before anyone said anything about random killing.

Also, the ball indicator goes out all the time. So you're stuck searching the bases the rest of the map while some fool racks up points for his team. I would rather see push than this freak show. Take the bases out and you have a game!

Played properly it is my favorite map ( after avanti of course ) but it sure does attract the Llamas and Newbs. Not sure why people find it so hard to understand the concept of the map. It's only common sense after all. I really like the loose alliances when attacking and intense 3 vs 1 play when you have the ball.

We need to add the RULES for murderball into the MOTD or map config or something. I know I got so tired of explaining the rules when it was in rotation before that I bound keys to the SAY messages. I don't think people should be banned for not adhereing to the play concept though. At least not permanant bans. On murderball I usually kick then ban repeat offenders for like 60 minutes. Of course there is that rare individual that takes an attitude and would need to be dealt with on ANY map.

I wish more people who understood the concept would get on and play. Stats be damned, I really like the intense play this map can generate. Similar to flagcontrol3 but a little more intense. If you play for TEAM score it makes sense to go after the team with the ball. If you are a selfish putts then I can understand playing it like a Death Match map I just won't allow it if I'm there

This map is really really fun with the right people, add 1 Llama and everybody is miserable. Do you think we should enable kick vote? mayby just on murderball day?
Also the rules of engagement in the MOTD is a great idea.

I guess I'll have to play it with some of you there. Even after I did learn the rules, it still sucked because it was full of people spamming the center and sniping from their bases. I could get into it if it wasn't full of all that jazz. I'll just play when I see an admin around.

Rule number 2 should be NO SNIPERS on this MAP
All in All I love this map if we could controll the guys that refuse to stop killing everyone regardless of who has the ball.
As for spamming the center if the ball has been dropped that is ok with me.

That is what is set on the server while that map is on, NO SNIPERS. It can get a bit spammy by the ball return and I too only play when an Admin is around

Next thing we get rid of the HWs and spys and what the heck lets make it an all engy/scout map jk folks...

I liked that map alot.People tend to get bent outta shape alot over it though. That grilled pickle d00d liked to strafe around the color of team who had the ball an then would raise hell cause you killed him>? Um duh im not a sharp shooter with a hw.And most of the game i think he was an engy,So here he is engy......strafing around 2hw's an having 2more shoot not at him but the person he is so lovingly strafing around an he gets killed? Now pause this situation right where it stands......and tell me who was gonna get outta there alive. #1 on my gib list would have been the engy jumping like mad in the middle of a 4way hw fire fight.Doh go engy go.

Yes I must admit pickle was the other end of the spectrum there. He was complaining a little too much. You have to expect to get mashed by a stray grenade or take some flak from a few almost friendly ACs

It is the "Green" HW, spy or whatever who enters the "BLUE" base and takes down the "SG" and or members of the "BLUE" team when "RED" has the BALL. Even the "YELLOW" player who kills the "GREEN" player in route to the "BLUE" or "RED" base when "BLUE" or "RED" has the ball, that gets me aggrivated. Please insert appropriate colors in the double quotes.

Thank Goodness the snipers are gone. They were the worst to get to listen. They just wanted to stand up in their balcony and shoot anything that moved. They missed the whole point of the game.

Perhaps if only regulars were allowed into the game while the map was on...
