I bought a Nikon L4 camera less than a week ago to replace another Nikon I only bought for 70 dollars.

My problem with the old camera was the LCD screen is fuzzy. I never had this problem with my Canon. I would have stuck with Canon had they not gone bulky with the camera sizes.

I thought that perhaps the fuzzyness was associated with the fact that the old camera was a display model. So I bought the other camera, and when I turned it on wooolah fuzzyness on the new cameras LCD screen.

Anybody have a Nikon with this issue or any settings that avoid the fuzzyness?

A friend has a Nikon D50 but no fuzziness...in fact I covet his camera!

I have a Canon G5 which has an ultra sharp screen.
I tend to find the bulkier cameras take better pictures but that is just an opinion...!

Loka, the fuzziness is from the oils on your nose. Wipe the LCD with a nice soft tissue and you'll be all set. And don't forget to return the new camera.

But seriously...

There's usually a 1~2 sec lag time when the images first appear (fuzzy) on the LCD and then they become clear after that. Why that happens I don't know, but it does for my Canon. Did you wait long enough?

Are the images that you took clear? Have you tried zooming in?

surprisingly taking pictures is clear...i noticed in dark areas the fuzziness gets worse than if your taking pictures in light areas.

also zooming in stays the same fuzzyness

usually bulkier cameras come with more features, more mp, more zoom etc etc and also you need to cough up 2 extra batteries especially with canons.

i had a canon a500 and it was great but it was a 3.2 mp and it was time to upgrade

i'm also a college student so for now the features isn't my concern seeing the more features and bulkier the camera is the more expensive it is.

The LCD screens are always fuzzy if you ask me. It's an estimated representation of the actual file recorded by the CCD. Some LCDs seem to be less fuzzy than others, but they're all a little fuzzy.

My Fuji Finepix F700 is really nice. The LCD is decent, pretty clear, but not the best I've seen. 6.2 mega pix, all the modes like macro, movie, and burst photo. Medium sized, but super durable. I take it out snowboarding with me everytime
