Ok, Here's the deal. There is a Long delay before files appear in "my computer" or "control panel". I tried what the support site above said to, and it still does it. I've cleared my pagefile, defragged, cleaned up, scanned for viruses, spyware, adware, etc. I cant seem to find the answer.
This all started when I changed my RAM timings. Corsair XMS PC 3200 I changed it to 2.5-3-3-6 1T. According to my motherboard's website, this is the timings it should be set at. So I do this. Everything comes out ok, except for the long delay, and it happens EVERY time i restart. I tried changing my timings back to auto, didnt work. I've emailed tech support at Corsair and EPox, corsair couldnt help me and told me to talk to EPOX, So i'm currently aawaiting a email from them.
I was just wondering if any of you have any advice on what to do?
Thanks in advance
Your resident computer screwer upper

Hmm...apparently Microsoft was right, it was the Windows Imaging thingy. The first time I stopped it, I did not disable it, it started up again as soon as I restarted. Its fixed now, thank you all
Although I do have another question. My partition that Windows is installed on is 10 GB. How large should my virtual memory be? right now its 50-1500 mb Thanks _________________

How much RAM do you have? If you have plenty of HD space it shouldn't matter really. I have 1GB of RAM and my VM is set to 2GB on my main PC. On my 2nd PC I only have 512 RAM and 768 VM. _________________
