hi, i do enjoy your map rotation on the ville III server, because it doesn't run through custom maps that kill the server, but i was wondering if you could add these to the mix

dod_railroad_b2

those are all very good maps, and hardly anyone doesn't have those maps, cause they are used in leagues, just my opinion, i just feel you have too short of a map rotation list.

nope.. but thanks for the suggestions.

jagd is fairly popular with most regs and the others are loaded on many people's comps thats for sure. but there are usually enough admins or supporters around that if you want a map it can be changed or a vote can be thrown up for the server to vote on.

i remember asking on the server if the server had those maps in the first place, and i remember a reply saying "no".....

Hi All-star i will attempt to answer your question

we are not currently adding new maps to our TV3 server or TV5 server at this time. WE (server ops and owner) have conducted research on the most popular maps (defined as maps that maintain or attract individuals to the servers) and have come up with the rotation that exists on TV3 and TV5. It came to our attention that most public servers maintained a short rotation so as to keep individuals in the server with the promise that they can suffer through 2 or 3 maps to get to the map they really enjoy instead of suffering through 5 or 6 maps that bore them to tears and may tempt them to leave to a server that is offering the map of their liking.


We appriecate your intrest in the betterment of the ville and do honestly appriecate your opinion when it comes to the servers, but as of right now we do not plan to expand the map rotation or map list beyond what is in existence.

could you post the exact map rotation.. by any chance, im sure i have missed some maps when im not in the server

You can hit me up as well if I'm on...I don't care for the current rotation at all so I'm more than happy to put up the option for a vote..I'll take the majority result...and go from there.

I like a couple of the current maps...I've always loved Donner and Sturm is not bad at all......I have always seen Kalt and Flash as the same map in different seasons (I know they aren't, but they feel like clones to me)....Avalanche is the absolute single worst thing to happen to gaming since E.T. on the 2600...and I'm still on the fence with Saints...which means I have nothing for or against it...it's enjoyable and that's fine enough for me.

Just figured I'd take my opportunity to vent about the maps.....heck..I ain't going anywhere so it's not like I really care...just wanted to take the shot here while I could.

what my main concern was if those maps i listed are loaded on the server at all.

cause when i asked on the server i got a reply from a member saying "no"

so im not sure if he was refusing to change the map or he was actually answering me question

I hesitate to change the maps sometimes. Just recently I was asked by a regular for a map change on server #1. When I changed it to what he wanted he left two minutes later and the server cleared out.
