Probably discussed here before but people's opinions change over time. What is everyone's opinion on the current weapon balance?

These are of course just my opinions as I said

Axis Vs Allies

spade vs knife - even but spade for fun
Luger vs Colt - even
stick vs milles - advantage stick
k98 vs garand - advantage k98
k43 vs carbine - ??
mp40 vs thompson - even
mp44 vs grease - advantage mp44
scoped k98 vs springfield - advantage springfield
mg34 vs bar - advantage bar
.30 cal vs mg42 - advantage mg42

I think it's fairly even overall. I don't use either the k43/carbine nor do I notice a difference playing against them. I hate those type of weapons where you need to spam it to shoot.

I gave advantage to stick just because for some reason I can prime it while running and not have to stop but I can't do it with milles bomb. I don't know why.

yeah, I should have called it handgrenade instead of milles bomb since I just mentioned the non british weapons. And only weapon I think you missed is the sten.

I'm not fussy for either fg42 weapon. I'd rather just stick with the mp40 instead.

Bren is nice I agree. I like that over the bar. And that scoped enfield is too good. The times I've used it I felt like I was cheating.

All personal opinions, really. I removed the Carbine, since it's pretty unique in all terms.

spade vs. knives - spade does more damage
luger vs. colt vs. webley - I remember something about the Colt hitting harder, which seems accurate in my experience.
stick vs. handgrenade vs. mills bomb - Personal opinion would have to be to the American grenade.
k98 vs. enfield - Enfield, same gun aside from the clip size.
k98 vs. m1 garand - K98 75% of the time. A good player can dominate with the garand if you can hit the right places. (I hold a personal preference to the garand, though. K98 = hatred.)
k43 vs. m1 garand - Tie.
mp40/thompson/sten vs. grease gun - The first three are all matches aside from an extra two rounds on the 40. They all top the greaser though for the higher ROF.
MP-44 vs. B.A.R. - BAR for the harder punch and (seemingly) lower recoil.
(The FG-42 is pretty much just the BAR with optional scope.)
s. k98 vs. springfield vs. s. enfield - Tie between the Enfield and the Springfield. More shots on the Enfield with a decent scope, but I far prefer the Springfield's scope.
mg34 vs. bren - The 34 for actually being a true MG.
mg42 vs. .30 cal - 42 for the sheer domination in firepower.

Weapon slection based overall comparison

spade vs. knives - spade kills seem to get more ohhhs and ahhhs
luger vs. colt vs. webley - colt and what the hell were the brits thinking bring a revolver into combat
stick vs. handgrenade vs. mills bomb - bombs rock (anykind)
k98 vs. enfield - Enfield 10 kills per clip
k98 vs. m1 garand - Garand only cause rate of fire
k43 vs. m1 garand - K-43 reload mid clip gives it a fire fight advantage
mp40/thompson/sten vs. grease gun - for me depends on the map
MP-44 vs. B.A.R. - B.A.R becasue of lower recoil however I'll take a STG from a corpse every time more ammo per clip(also my new favorite)
FG-42 class all by itself scoped is my choice for it greater rate of fire
s. k98 vs. springfield vs. s. enfield - Springfield, 30-06 rounds yummy
mg34 vs. bren - surprise, 34 is more accurate when deployed
mg42 vs. .30 cal - 42, rate of fire hands down winner.

However I still believe in situation based weapon selection. But if your really want to change your opinion of weapons, download and install custom sounds and custom weapon skins. Sounds crazy huh? Well, for me I found that the sound and the weapon appearance actually changed my weapon selection and increased my accuracy.

i think that the garand is better than the k98 when it means moving around cause of the faster shooting pace. Lethalnesswise, k98 is better. I dont like the fact that the garand does this 90 damage BS.

i think that the mp40 is much better than the thompson. I've been using it a lot lately and noticed that it seems more accurate than the thompson.

other than that i agree wit ur evaluations
