It would be fun if a bunch of us got together to play some other games every now and then. Possibly all get one of the third party half life mods (since it's free for all of us, and we know we can all run it) and have fun jumping around for a night

Or any other game that would be free and easy for everyone to log on and play.

Just a thought, maybe it's been done before, but it would be fun none the less. I've got a few games in mind, but go ahead and post your suggestions!

-The Specialists
-www.arc-hq.net (I guess it's now been reduced to only a discussion board, but the game is a tiny download and fun/easy to play)

That sounds fun. We used to have a few TS servers and some Rally servers. I actually ran a pretty successful Rally server for a little while before people stopped playing it.

I would participate.

Something like Firearms would be fun. I was always surprised that Firearms didn't catch on as much as dod. That game was a lot of fun back when it first came out.

Actuualy Brainbread and the Specialists are really good games. It would be cool to see you guys playing the Specialists and Brainbread. You guys should check them out if you haven't already.

me and jack play brainbread and the specialists almost everyday.

if anyone wants to meet in a server and slaughter each other, let either one of us know.

and we usually play the specialists on Dr._b's_24/7 lobby if anyone wants to stop in

All good ideas! Did anyone download "ARC" from www.arc-hq.net? It used to be a pretty popular Sierra game, but I think they must have dropped it due to old age... It's completely free now and just run off the arc forum. The game is only 3mb, and not cheezy at all considering the small size. It's fun top down capture the flag action, and really simple to learn.

If some people download it and enjoy it we should set up a time and play! And I'm game for any of the others if you guys want to pick a day to play.

basically as shovel said, we play the specialists pretty religiously now. Its a nice break from the in depth game of DoD. It requires no thought and teamwork and is alot of fun.

not to mention the stunts are cool as heck.

I play and have, in the past, played almost everything.

Right now all I have installed is Day of Defeat and Sven, though. But I can play Natural Selection (not too great at it, but I enjoy a good game occasionally) Team Fortress and Counter-Strike. Brainbread and Zombie Panic really lose their enjoyability after a while.

Battlegrounds, anyone? I used to love that particular mod until the servers sorta disappeared.
