Well heres why i went with what i did.

Mouse: I tried the MX1000, didnt liked the way it fit my hand. And i have a friend who has the new one and LOVES It, it fits pefectly.

Raptor HD's are very expensive :*(

PC GAMER rig: They cheated. I've been doing some research, that Power supply they used COST $200, not $40 they have printed in the magazine. and the rig that I"M building is MUCH MORE powerful than that craptacular piece of moldy old people that PC GAMER put together.

Trust me, I've done the research for six months, I could build this bad boy blindfolded sleeping. Everything is very compatable, i've had the advice of several computer friends, I dont think i'll gto with anything else. What i have put together is perfect for me, it fits my budget, its upgradable (X2 processors if i want) and I LOVE IT! MERRY CHRISTMAS MUJ0!!

I am just giving my 2 bits now after what you have said.

A good PSU should cost between 100-200 bucks american.

I am a big time overclocker i have had several small fires from my computer...,

but before I talk about over clocking. Do NOT skimp on a PSU get at ANTEC or ENERMAX 450-600 watt. Yes they are 100-300 bucks. You grab a cheap piece of crap say good bye.

Anyhow for your system, for what you want to do add 100 watts and make sure the psu is a dual bus 12vlt with a min of 19amp on each bus.

I'm getting

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?item=N82E16819103539

I would go for more than a 64 3000+ because youll want to upgrade sooner than youd like. I don't know how much overclocking a 3000 helps (if anyone could enlighten me plz do) but I myself am spending a little more a something i wont wish to upgrade soon.

What about the Power Supply's that come with the Aspire cases...I heard they were'nt that bad...

So Dakon, do you recommend the AMD 3000+ 64 (venice core) for overclocking? how far will it go?

I'll be ordering this thing on tuesday

Cordless have alot of gaming troubles. I had mouse lag problems back in 2.0b, that was not fun. It's not as practical i don't think, im a corded kinda guy. And even though the question has been answered, the X2's aren't anythign out of this world awesome. The FX-57 is where it's at right now, stuff along those lines, but given that processor alone is $1200 dollars, I wouldn't bother. THe X2's are designed for multi-tasking. Running lots of programs at once, like 3d modeling and animation stuff, things that really drag the computer. I have maya, and it runs about as fast as a dead horse. Hopefully i have said something useful. Enjoy your new rig:)

I'm to late Anyways I was going to suggest that you probably could have got a 3400+ or higher for just a few more $$$. I wish I would have responded earlier .
