In summary, add the plugin that allows NS maps when there is a certain number of players.

Of course many of you can guess my opinion before I even state it, but I will state it anyways:

NS classic is really the only type of NS worth playing. NS was different because it really required teamwork, and strategy. It was an RTS AND an FPS and that is what made it unique.

CO is essentially counterstrike with different models and guns, and it requires no teamwork.

NS classic is what made NS unique and likable, because it was a new game, not just another FPS to fit in the same genre as CS.

If I'd had my way everything woulda stayed NS classic. Don't misquote me however, CO does have it's uses, it makes a very good couple of rounds of aim practice, or something to do if you don't have much time. Other than that, it's nothing compaired to NS classic.

CO is good between long NS maps, like after 60 mins of commanding I dont realy like to play a NS map so CO would be lots of fun then, even with +50 lvl's.
But as cobra sayed, CO is only fun for 1 or 2 maps.
And I also mis the 1on1 NS games when we tried to get ppl on the server with cobra, was fun and it worked in about 10-30min
I would like TV 2 to become both, as Stevo mentioned.

Edit.
Best servers have map vote

And bots are good for DOD and such modes but in NS they just arent good for anything

time limit? I guess 15 mins, once the game starts, the server won't change the map til one team f4's or one team wins

15 mins so if you have an alien rush cc or sg rush you can rejoin and try playing a more "normal" game, and 15 mins so you don't sit on the server waiting 40 mins for the map to change if no one wants to play.

I always used 30 minutes. It doesn't make too much of a difference though...

NS time limits are 45 minutes
Co timelimits are suppose to 15 (without mods) But usually 30-60 if there is +50 levels is the norm.

Unless you adjust the co extra XP to lessen the difficuly between levels after 10, you could be safe with 30 minutes. I dont think i've ever made it to 30 even on a map drawn out to 60 minutes with a default win.

45 minutes might be a good round number to include 1-3 rounds of a co map and still be long enough for a regular ns map.

server time limit doesnt affect gameplay though... if the server's time limit is 15 mins, you can still have a game that goes 2 hrs or more... hehe, we've done that. just if you change mp_combattime for co, and i'm not sure what it is for ns... I dk, I think sometimes the longer ns_ games are better, especially if it is back and forth, rather than a slow encroaching alien mass on the rine base.
