I saw War of the Worlds yesterday and it was amazing. Lot's of crazy scenes. Kind of reminded me of those things in HL2.
Much better than other movies I've seen lately...(don't waste your money on Mr(s). Smith ) _________________

There is also a new release at the Video Stores with the name of War of the Worlds.
It is a remake also. It is not a big CG show but the acting is good and worth seeing. _________________ Only in America......do they have drive-up ATM machines with Braille lettering. |

WHAT!
Well the first one was a radio broadcast in the early 1940s done by Orson Wells. Then they made a movie outta of it in the mid 50s. The movie in the 50s was actually pretty good. I think it was ahead of its time for that era.
I also saw the new one and must say I enjoyed it. I recomend it _________________

The trippiest part about the Orson Wells thing is that people were freaking out because they thought the radio broadcast was real _________________ =(M)-(M)= Mal n the m00bs - TVC 06 finalists

I believe the original radio broadcast was in 1938 and people were going crazy. I saw the latest movie and I thought it was a decent movie. There was only a few minor issues that I had with it...like the whole father/son conflict....blah blah blah...and there was one point where a particular sound effect was used and it didn't really reflect what it should have, but on the whole a good movie. _________________ Have a knife day! |

I'm contemplating seeing it because Tom Cruise has turned out to be quite the jerk. He's not getting my $8 _________________

Mrs. Sarge and I went and saw it last night. It was pretty good. The Mrs actually grabbed my arm at a tense moment, and she don't freak that often. The plot stuck fairly close to the original movie, and the aliens kinda looked like the ones in Independence Day (good movie too)
There sure are a lot of remakes lately, not much original stuff.

I thought it was good overall but it I think they spent way too much time in the basement with the crazy guy, it was only like a chapter in the book and Spielberg drew it out to like 30 minutes.
I also liked Mr and Mrs Smith
