so i had asked a few people about where to download some xhair packs because the dynamic default ones were getting to me. then i changed it to the static versions and well i didn't like those either. so i did some searches and everyone said the CAl pack was the best... well i couldn't find it. i found a few peoples packs but it had some i dind't like and i got to thinking i wanted to make my own.

and making sprites is annoying...

i've made sprays and tags and i've dealt with the transparency thing before but this time it really threw me. i kept getting squares around my designs. and everytime i tried something else i'd go into a game and scream some swear words really loud.. probably enough to scare my neighbors. BUT!!!! i finally got my color table worked out and got them to show correctly with transparency and all. so if anyone has an idea for a GREAT xhair shape... lemme know and maybe i'll throw together something.

i take no credit for any of these designs, but i did put the together in this set. if any are dumb... like really dumb ( and i know theres a handful that are) go ahead and tell me. if you want to go ahead and install them jsut go into the furthest dod folder and drop them into a folder called "sprites" if there isn't a folder... well then make one you lazy piece of crap.

i know 1 and 2 look similar. but the center pixel of 2 is tranparent. making the dot a bit more transparent on the screen.

( whoops... anyone wanna move this to the DoD forum?) _________________

I’ll give them a try.

I currently use a blue propeller looking thing. The blue stands out a little better for me.

#7 and #8 look interesting. _________________

i heard a lot of people say how they wanted the spectator/dead xhairs so i think that is the one i modeled 14 after...

i'm jsut sort of afraid that if i made squirel a set of hairs he likes more and can use better..... well then he will be unstopable

i personally am using #2 for now i believe. _________________

Click on the picture he posted and then save the file to your sprites folder. For most people it is C:\Program Files\Steam\SteamApps\<email>\day of defeat\dod\sprites

Then in your console type:

Where x=crosshair number (refer to picture)

I hopen that helps. _________________
