I just found out you can’t prime your grenades in DOD Source.
This might suck! I guess I’ll need to develop some new nade tactics.

It depends...I would far rather they got rid of nade priming and had it that when you fire a nade (i.e. select nade and press fire button) that starts a timer and then it explodes - i.e. you can still time nades but without all that priming stuff.

Thats what I thought they should have done in the first place, but sense people can't prime nades does that mean you can't pick up the other teams grenades and throw them back?

rancor, press that capslock button again .

in th beta you cant throw it on the ground then pick it up. i think they havent put it in yet or they havent decided if they should use an alternitave method to cook the nade. i would rather it be that the nade starts cooking as soon as u hold down the mouse button then u release and it throws, but then you cant adjust how far you thor it. you could always just throw it at a different angle. or they can have it where its left click to start cooking it and right click to start throwing it.

the way they do it now is unrealistic anyhow...you pull the pinn.,..and you can run around without throwing it forever....

Thats plenty realistic as long as you dont let go of the handle that starts the fuse. At least thats how american grenades work. Not too sure about the fuses on the mashers.

i say they do it the old fashion way. stick in under a dead body and when someone kicks the bady it explodes. CMON wheres the
fake-war-movie-tricks? OR WAIT tie a string around it and when it is tripped it lets the handle out and it explodes. And who cares if it isn't realistic, I HIGHLY doubt they captured flags in WWII. And in the demo I say it looked as if the timer was only like 3 secs anyway.

I hope it will be possible to prime it, throw it back and shot it too!
I know that the possibility that you could shot a nade in mid-air in real life is almost impossible but in-game that could be cool to do!

Well if they are going for realistic the nades back then didn't have safety grips so you should be able to pull the pin and it should prime itself. And they probably made it so you can only pick up enemy grenades and not your own. I hope they don't spoof it up and hopefully they shorten fuse time to 3 seconds or allow you to change fuse times by right clicking.

BTW- When does DODS get released?
