				Now this isnt for the top guitar players of all time, cause im sure anybody who knows anything about music will have a very similar list. this is for favorite guitar players. Guitarists whom you like and who are pretty much solid and hard rockers.

Heres my list

1. Stevie Ray Vaughn - Pride and Joy, need i say more.

2. Eddie Van Halen - Aint talkin bout love, one of my favorite riffs ever

3. Tom Morello - Solid riffs and innovation

4. Kirk Hammit - Some of the sickest solos ever

5. Jimi Hendrix - One of the most innovative guitar players of all time.

i could continue but i think this is my top list. Maybe not in that exact order but i would have to think very hard on what the exact order would be. _________________

				I believe you mean Kirk Hammett.

And as for myself, Willie Adler. Lamb of God. _________________

				Carlos Santana is over rated. That opinion isn't popular here in Texas, but it's just how I see it. Same for B.B. King. Just over rated. Good guitarists, just not amazing or inovative.

My list is pretty similar to who's been mentioned.

In no real order;

Rock

Chuck Berry - Godfather of Rock

Joe Satriani - Sweep master

Kirk Hammett - Orchestrated Metal

Eddie Van Halen - Hot for teacher, Eruption, just wow.

Blues

Stevie Ray Vaughn - Uncomparible to anyone. Ever.

Eric Clapton - Slowhand

Robert Cray - Purest blues around

Most Inovative

Jimmy Page - Song Remains the Same, watch it.

Tom Morello - Is it a DJ scratching? No, it's a friggen guitar!

Jimi Hendrix - Oh the sweet sweet noise!

In terms of completely mastering the instrument that is the guitar, no one on this planet can touch;

Yngwie Malmsteen - His band blows. But on his own soloing, untouchable. _________________ Recipient of POTM award

				Oh almost left out Country!

Lester Flatt and Earl Scruggs - Most know them for the Beverly Hillbillies theme and/or Dueling Banjos. All of their stuff is awesome if you're into that kinda thing.

Junior Brown - Makes his own guitars, probably one of the best electric slide players of all time. _________________ Recipient of POTM award

				Everyone KRG named plus Mike McCready from Pearl Jam. If you want great solo watch for some G3 CDs, great stuff, espacialy "Red House" done by Joe Satriani, Steve Vai and Eric Johnson or Johnston. _________________

				Ace Frehley - Always liked his solo's and guitar playing so he is on my list somewhere. Agree on many of the others mentioned by KRG. _________________

				Steve Vai and Eric Johnson. Duh.

Easy, how could I have forgotten them! Smack me please, for I truly deserve it.

Lest I forget, Darrel Abbot. Dimebag was friggen awesome. Not entirely inovative, but definitely worthy of mention in any metal guitarist catagory. _________________ Recipient of POTM award
