Well I wasn't sure where to post this, so I figured I'd just stick it in somewhere. Anyways, I had a question and was wondering if anyone could help me with it before I seek further help. On my clans website, we have the same exact forum as TV. For some reason, I have never been able to post there. Whenever I attemp to post, a page comes up saying "Invalid_session". Anyone know what this is all about? Just curious and thanks for the help.

Go here: http://www.phpbb.com/kb/article.php?article_id=54
Probably something along these lines:
When you first visit phpBB (assuming you have autologin enabled) it looks to see if you have a session_id (either in a cookie or the URL). On a new visit you won't have such a session_id and so phpBB creates a new one. If you have autologin set it checks the relevant data and if that matches you are logged in with the appropriate user_id. _________________ Recipient of POTM award

I was reading posts from 4-5 different topics from their website, and either I'm not understanding it right or what, but it seems like their fix is only to fix those who started the forum. I am the only member with this problem, but when another person tries my account from their computer it works fine. Every sollution was to change a couple lines the the sessions.php , but I have no such file (that I know of). I think the way they were explaining it was directed to those who host the forum and have the files on their hd's. |

Do you have it set to an auto log in? If so, take that off and try manually logging in.
Otherwise, try deleting your cookies and then logging in? There may be a conflict with a stored cookie. Dunno.
Have you contacted an admin at that forum about this? _________________ Recipient of POTM award

I've tried both methods and neither worked for me. The admins of our clan's forums aren't a help, they just tell me it's my "noob computer" that is the problem and to ship it back. |

If they don't have there forum priv's set correctly then you might not have access to post within there forum. There are alot of different settings that might be checked or setup wrong. Is this a brand new site or one that has been around awhile :.
Another thing do you have a popup blocker ? Mine likes to block some sites when I try to post. For some reason when I click the reply button it looks at it like a popup....lol _________________ <eVa>Simpleman-V$=<RIP> |

Maybe it has something to do with logging your ip. _________________ - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - |

That should work... If it only does it on that site, then it is probably their fault. _________________

Give the forum admins the link I posted Fred. Sounds like it's on their end. _________________ Recipient of POTM award
