pls fill me in on this

ok can someone pls tell me what all i gotta do and buy to be able to talk with voice command ,i know i gotta buy a mike or a headset and it plugs into my speaker out (B),im pretty sure of that,but what progs should i download,and will i have to after this patch?,thx for any info any of you can provide,your friendly 56k lag-o-holic ice

Well, from what I understand you will only need the next patch coming out from valve, no other software will be required.

You will also need a headset with a build in mike, using a standalone mike with speakers most likely will not work well, the speaker noise will bugger up the mike communications.

Your headset will plug into the speaker out jack on your soundcard and the mike will plug into the mike in jack. Beyond that you may need to tweak the soundcard settings on your PC to ensure the audio levels for the mike are correct.
