There has not been a update in months and months.
Adaware has new updates all the time....I think someone went to sleep at spybot??
Here is a link to a different program you may like

Spyware blaster only protects right? Can't remove already existing spyware?
And of course who doesn't use adaware se. heh
And PMM I'm pretty sure you're talking about the DSO Exploit thing. That was just a bug in spybot. You can download the fix from majorgeeks. _________________

Spywareblaster blocks sites and cookies that lets in spyware in the first place - revenue-giving sites that typically fun sites or warez sites try to link you to. |

I've used hijackthis on my old computer that was overrun with trojans/spyware/adware crap, but I'm a little iffy about using it. I don't trust myself. _________________

no, it just lists all of the stuff it deleted in a file so you can check it if soemtings not workign properly. adaware usually picks up that list and says its spyware. _________________ R.I.P. Blue |

My friends I come to you with a better way of taking care of spyware....
It's called: Microsoft AntiSpyware. Do a google search on it, its the best program outhere. Not only does it search for spyware, it does so every day, removes it, blocks it from the websites from which it originates, and then makes sure that it doesn't return again. It stays running and updates itself about every week, and in addition, it scans your hard drive for viruses,, and even includes a personal type of firewall. It really is the best possible spyware program out there, so go look it up.
However dont delete your other spyware programs, they are still usefull, especially when trying to get something that other spyware programs have missed

Spybot 1.3 has periodic upgrades. If you are still using 1.2 you're not doing anyone any favors. |

I know I'm way late on this post, but I figured I'd chime in anyway.
Try running it in Safe Mode and see if it completes. If not, try either AdAware or MS AntiSpyware (unless you are still on Win9x, as the MS one will only work on 2000 on up.) _________________ Crank the Wonder Llama

I don't believe spybot puts spyware in your system but i beleive they are paid to "overlook" some programs. I am almost sure of this because after running S+D i was still havin spyware problems. I then "aquired" McAfee and it found programs that S+D did not, and I did have the latest version and DLed all the updates. I mean it is FREE, they gotta make money somehow. |

I also use the MS AntiSpyware and have to say it's the best of the 3 (adaware, spybot and MSAS). It has scheduled scans and updates and it finds everything spybot and adaware find and thensome! Go with MS on this one... Did I just say that!!?!?! _________________
