I've been playing a lot of demoman and I found that it is an enjoyable class (I have more detpack kills than sniper rifle kills ). Sure ya die a lot, but it's on your own accord and it's really fun to make engies cry . |

Yessir! I have really enjoyed the benefits of being able to BLOW SH#T UP...
Especially on Warpath. Pipe traps are a great defensive manuever and setting detpacks rules; except when you get a teammate that like to run over and examine your explosives closely...
BTW, what is the command for setting a detpack for more than 5 seconds??
I like to pick a class and stick with it for awhile. As many of my friends here know there was an affinity for fire in my previous choice of class.
However, I know that I have plenty of Class to handle whatever each of you might through at me, especially if I can retort with a MIRV or several pipes!
Muhahahahahahahahahah, Boom BABY Boom!!!

Here is a useful script that gives you a choice of all Det packs,
// Detpack Time Selector
alias det5 "alias detpackset +det5; developer 1; echo 5 SEC DETPACK SELECTED; shortwait; developer 0; wait; alias detpackselect det20"
alias det20 "alias detpackset +det20; developer 1; echo 20 SEC DETPACK SELECTED; shortwait; developer 0; wait;alias detpackselect det50"
alias det50 "alias detpackset +det50; developer 1; echo 50 SEC DETPACK SELECTED; shortwait; developer 0; wait; alias detpackselect det5"
alias detpackselect det5
alias detpackset +det5
bind "b" "detpackselect"
bind "v" "detpackset" |

Try binding your detpack for something like 12 seconds. Logic is as follows:
If you manage to rush into the heat of a battle, the only time you can successfully set a detpack is when the most of the opponents have cleared the area (by dying and respawning). Now, by the time they arrive back at the scene of the battle, approx 12 seconds would have elapsed, hence....
Doesn't always work, but when it does, it sure litters the ground!
Sure, you'll prob kill yourself due to mirror damage, but oooh, taking out 5 guys with a detpack... priceless!!
