My pal Joe swears that Halo2 on XBox looks better than HL2 on PC.
I told him that is basically phisically impossible and he has poo for brains but what do you think?
FPS's on console and PC. Which is betta?

| i enjoy FPS on pc so much better for the simple fact that i have a mouse to aim with and not a thumbstick. |

depends on the computer you are using would be my guess as to which looks better.. I mean, you can't compare HL2 on old comp to Halo 2.... but that is just IMHO.
I like computer fps, I can't get the aiming and different buttons required with the console...

Haven't seen Halo 2. I have Halo for XBox and PC and don't like either one. I'm used to shooters like HL and Quake where the game is about speed and what not. Halo makes me feel like I'm plodding around. I didn't enjoy it and never bothered finishing either game.

Did you slap him after he said that???? I would have. I would slap a clergy if he said that 
Halo and Halo 2 are two of the most bland First person shooters I have ever played. I had a better time playing Doom and Wolfenstein 3D back in the day. Half Life 2 had THE best graphics I have ever seen. There's so much detail in the textures and enviornments. I mean in Halo or Halo 2, you can't even play around with the physics engine like you could in Deus Ex Invisibe War and Half Life 2. HL2 has better online play also. CS:S and HL2:DM are way cooler than the lame game modes in Halo 2. People that prefer Halo 2 over HL2 are usually the kids that won't spend their money to upgrade their PC to play.
As for PC vs Console...
PC hands down. I love having more control over what I'm doing. I can completly customize my controls and add in my own custom models. Consoles seems linear if that's the word i'm looking for hehe. I actually enjoy installing games rather than popping in the disc and playing.
Keyboard and mouse is the only way to play a FPS

Like KA said, PC is better for FPS because you have more precise control over aiming and movement.
Tech-wise, I've always used this explaination: A new console may come out that is just as fast or faster than the current PCs. But in 6 months, newer and faster PC technology is out, and you have to wait 2 years for a new console.

Thats insane...you should take him out back and whoop him KRG. I prefer a pc for FPS and Real time games such as war craft of Civilization. Everything else is on the consoles for me.

Totally true, and I'm definately a PC over console guy. But keep this in mind--with ANY console the developer can optimize their code for specific hardware as much as they want, and can thouroughly playtest it to ensure that crashes are TOTALLY non-existant. It doesn't mean that they do test that much and it certainly doesn't mean that consoles are better than PC, but it does explain why GTA:San Andreas has been as impressive as it is on the "old" PS2 and will be several months behind coming to PC and, for some people, not as nice when it gets there.
For me... I'll keeping pouring money into the sink-hole of my computer rather than wasting it on a one-time black-hole of a gaming console.

Most of the time PC versions of console games are direct ports, with nothing added. If they would spend some extra time and take advantage of the extra muscle the PC has, it would blow the console away. Plus, they could make it moddable with a PC version, which would be cool. I am with the others as far as control is concerned. Mouse+keyboard can't be beat, as far as FPS is concerned.. I am sure consoles will become like this, but then you basically have a PC.
By the way, there is no way Halo or Halo 2 looks better than HL2. He is just trying to pimp his console love.

well being Master_Chief, i would have to say that i do love halo and halo 2. i think they are the only good fps games on a console. other fps games on consoles just arnt good. but i will say that halo on pc was much better than on xbox. but i will say that your friend is retarded for thinking halo2 looks better than hl2. i also think hl2 was a much better game. i really enjoyed halo 2, but i think hl2 was much better.

I got to play both HL2 and Halo 2 for the same amount of time... like 10 mins. so far am liking HL2 more.. I need more time

HL2 all the way!! I think HALO 2 was a decent game, not awesome but decent, HL2 on the other hand pizowns HALO in graphics and gameplay IMHO.
I think the best type of games on consoles are sports games, normally cannot go wrong there

ya really if my friends ask if i wanna play a spots videogame i just say, wtf is the point of playing a videogame about something you can just walk outside and do right now.
just wait until HL2 comes out on xbox2, every console kid who has never toughed a computer will think its new and the best game ever and that the graphics are amazing then ill tell them that ive been playing that game for over a year.
