3 cpu's and a ATI x800 or by the way it sounds it might be the x850.

no, ati is still develoing the chip that will be for PCs and a slighly different one for xbox. im guessing its one of the new 512mb chips.

no. 512 mb referst to the vram on the agp/pcie card. This is going to be the r520 series gpu, code named Fudo. It is the next gen card (it supports shader model 3.0, which the x800 and x850 do not).

And it is a single cpu, with 3 cores. It is a similar implementation to many server chips that have multiple cores on the same cpu package. The shared l2 cache arrangement is going to save money, but cost some performance in comparison to 3 separate cores with their own caches.

This looks cool, and good thing the games will be compatable from the old box (so I hear). I wounder what type of modifacations we'll be able to do with this box, and how long it will take the hackers to hack it. I just got done doing all the mods to my xbox so I don't want to jump into these when they first come out.

But they sound sweet.
