2nd hard drive

hey, i just got my old HD from my old comp and put it in my new comp.. so now i have 2 hard drives... so what should i not do?

Like.. is there anythign special i have to do to run a program from my 2nd HD?

Also... i cant get into certain files in it. Like Documents and Settings, it says the "Access Denied" how can i get around that?

i didnt install anything special on mine when i got it i did do one stupid mistake which was install windows on both of my drives...

I have one drive with XP Pro and the other with 2000 Pro.

documents and settings.... i cant open it at all. IT says " ACCESSED DENIED"

i tried to copy the file to my other hard drive.. but it wouldnt work

still says accessed denied

I may be wrong but, your old HD won't work with the new computer. The new Mobo and old HD cant talk to each other. You might be able to retrieve some information but as far as making it an active part of the comp, it has to be formatted under the settings of the new Mobo

Make sure you Put your second HD on Slave...If you have 2 Primary HD they will screw up on you...

yeah ive done the slave thing... heres another thing... under documents and settings... theres 4 users.... my sister, my brother, every one else, and my folder Arturo... every one of them except Arturo i can access... so... iono...

i gues ill just have to try and fix my old comp

Folders bound to your mobo.....LMAO

Log in as administrator. Not as a admininstrator . Then change the security and sharing settings....
