So, anyone else following the olympics? USA is really having a disappointing performance so far. I just watched the top three synched diving teams (Chinese, Russian, and American) bork (Chinese diver didn't complete dive and landed on his neck, Russian slammed legs onto diving board during a somersault, BOTH Americans screw up their dive and land too far from board) and let the Greeks take the gold, the Germans silver, and the Aussies bronze.

Medal Count. Gold Silver Bronze Total.

You win some, you lose some. I enjoyed last night's gymnastics though, even if the American squad wasn't doing too well. Those Chinese gymnasts really whooped up.

I watched a canadian beach volleyball team just kick the americans butts badly.

Its just so embarrasing for the USA basketball team losing to Peurto Rico. We own them! I really wish they wouldn't let pro's compete in the olympics like this, it would make it more interesting.

I think this years olympics is showing us and the world that USA is not the powerhouse it used to be. Look at us in basketball it is horrible, we created basketball thus we should win the sport and also we do have the best players in the world and yet we can't win (don't give m this stuff how our best aren't playing). Gymnastic we are never that good at it compared to Romania. I think after the olympics the steriod thing is going to take center stage again and it will be awhile before we are as dominate as we once were.

I think it's been since the '88 or '92 olympics.

EDIT: Looks like since '88:
