Hey guys, pritty soon my bro will be moving to his own apartment, which in retern means i will be able to use my dads old 80 Watt stereo Speakers, Could one of you Ol' Timers help me out with how i might be able to set these 2 80 watt speakers upto my computer via sound card(if possible)? or what kind of an amp to look into getting. Any advice would be a great help thanks.

Are you buying new or used?

A receivcer would be easy and quick. plug a stero jack into your sound car and into a RCA jack splitter, then you can hook your computer right up

ya my friend said he used a reviever and i was lookin at one from circuit city that was 99$ it had what i needed but is it worth 100 or should i look for a cheaper price

You could also look in the paper, you might find someone getting rid of one that may give you more bang for your buck

If you keep an eye out for a while, a good deal will appear. Someone will need to move and you can pick up a more expensive unit for a bargin. but if its sound you need now ...I can understand that!

naw roof, its not a nessesity for me to have it, i just want to blow the brains out of my room when i move into it, because my current room is right over the living room, and well people get pissed lol.
