Need virus scan

alright i have a problem i got my virus scanner and that from a friend the scanner is AVG and 2day when i started up my comp it said i have a bad id key so now i cant scan my comp for viruses. normally this would be such an important right away thing for me to take care of but my comp is running slower for some reason and i just anned and have none so i think its a virus...any help

AVG is a free app.. Uninstall it and go redownload it from their site, they will email you a new key as soon as you re-register.

I use Stinger by Network Associates, you can find it at http://vil.nai.com/vil/stinger/. It is scans for about 40 of the most current and rampant viruses.

There is another free scanner called something like Panda Scan, if you search I'm sure you could find it.

Goto http://housecall.antivirus.com

Using IE (Internet Explorer)
Click on Scan for Free
Pick USA
then click yes on the certificate that pops up, it will download the definitions and then you will see your computer in a white box, pick the drives you want to scan and click "automatically clean" and click SCAN. Its good stuff and if you like it I would recommend buying the Trend Micro product.
