Hi, I was wondering if anyone could tell me the way to go about getting your Half-Life CD key off of your registry files. (Or some other way). My friend has half-life installed and for some reason or another he needs the cd key, so he asked me, and I have heard of it, but don't know how to myself. So any help would be great.
It's Windows 2000 I believe.

Well i'm not sure about windows 2000 but here is how for windows 98 SE, it may be similar:
Start>Run>regedit>HKEY_CURRENT_USER>Software>Valve>Half-Life>Settings>the file is called 'key' and there will be numbers by it, that is your cd key.
