I played in the beta and now the retail and I really like it. I also have played every online game like this from the beginning. I have a few friends that are playing Lineage2 also.. which makes it fun.
The only complaint I have is the leveling seems very very slow. But the graphics, music and sound are excellent, the gameplay is great, and the pvp (player vs. player) system is good.
It's far from a disappointment in my opinion. Its holding my interest. 
I'm still looking forward to World of Warcraft and EQ2. I think those 2 games will be the next step in mmorpg's. Followed by Vanguard. If Lineage 2 can hold my interest till WoW is released then I will be very happy!
