|
|
this isnt a steam question but more of a windows question but i think you guys can help.
i downloaded a copy of fruityloops off of kazaa(i know im a pirate). i went to click it to install and it said " filename blah blah blah.exe is not a valid win32 application" im fine with that. well i went to delete it and no matter what, it says its in use and wont let me delete it. its like 50 megs and i need the hard drive space. if any of you could help me out on how to get this file out of here it would be supremely helpful. i tried looking for some progs to do it and i found trash it, but that only helps if it installed something on my system and then it deletes everything it installed. i checked with it to see if it installed anything and it didnt so what gives?
any help would be appreciated.
thanks _________________

if it says 'cant delete becasue file is in use' or something, explorer is using it doign whoknowswhat, happens to me sometimes on DLed files... the easisest way is to hold F8 when ur booting and start in safe mode, then you can delete it.. _________________

Try this trick. highlight the item and cut it to the clip board and then paste it into the recycle bin. It has worked for me in the past with a item that does not want to go buy buy.

step one: unplug monitor, keyboard, mouse, etc.
step two: put computer in well lit area.
step three: beat computer with bat.
step four: repeat step 3 as needed until problem is fixed.
