Kerrys gonna raise taxes and bush wants to take away our cival libertys.

(begin democratic thought)....Lets ignore the problem even though thousands of lives could possibly be at stake, raise some taxes and grab an intern.(end democratic thought)

Oh wait...we already received the results of that attitude which was displayed by the Clinton administration through the amazing 8 year term of ignorance.

Yeah, we should have let all of these flinchy Europeans convince us to sit back and watch Saddam fester.....yeah, that would have been really good.

Um wasnt Osama responible for 9/11, whats saddam got to do with anything... The reason we ultimaly went to war was because we were told that Saddam had weapons of mass destruction...

So many people say that Bush did a horrible job, but they all seem to forget that ultimately so would anyone in his postition. You can criticize, say "if and then" statements, and curse at Bush all you want, but I havn't seen anyone provide a sound solution to any of the problems he's faced with yet. All they ever do is make fun of him and say, "Bush sucks!!!1!!2!!@!1"

Rule #1 for sounding intelligent - Be productive when you talk, because rambling on about the same "Bush is a f@g" crap gets old and annoying very fast. Only so many people can say it before it loses its meaning entirely.

Rule #2 for sounding intelligent - Everyone is entitled to be a critic, just as everyone is entitled to be stupid. You sound so much more intelligent when you're actually constructive with your criticism though (giving a few original thoughts that might actually help the matter never hurt either). Anyone with a basic knowledge of the english language can say "Bush is an idiot, and really messed up". I'd really like to see some of these critics try to do his job. Bush's name would then be replaced with theirs no doubt.

Rule #3 for sounding intelligent - Always gain your information from more than one source. Different news networks (if you actually trust any of these guys to begin with), several books from both sides, various trusted websites, etc. One side may be right and the other wrong, but I guarantee you that they're both hiding something that the other will expose.

Rule #4 for sounding intelligent - Never trust the media anymore. Always denounce them at any possible moment. This will earn you +5 smart points automatically.

NOTE: This isn't a flame to Osiris, so sorry if it comes off that way. This post is directed at anyone who ever criticized Bush (even if Bush needed a little criticizing).

This is also why we don't discuss politics here

For me I was not happy with attacking Iraq, I figure they should get themselves out of trouble. First striking a nation for what we think is going on, seems unamerican...

After 911 and other events it seems clear to me, we are at war. Bush had the sense to state it and deal with it.

Being at war we have to act like it. we have to go find and destroy what we are warring against.

If we needed to blast our way across a whole world to stop what we did not start, then we do it with as much strength as needed and hope we dont make to many mistakes.

I may not like what happened But I certainly dont know a better way, then or now. We certainly need to keep the pressure up until we drive them to the end.

quitting now is not going to work. they wont stop. They are reaching into poor areas the world over.

So for me I hate what has happened, but I see no other course that makes sense. My vote will be for Bush, even though this is going to get far uglier than we all can imagine.

Well, a quote that I like to read whenever I become pissed off is as follows:

This applies to many things in life, including how people critic the bush admin. Following Clinton's election do you know what happened? Ill tell you what happened, this occurs when the American admin decide that something isn’t worth their time:

- 18 Rangers and Delta Force operators killed in Somalia. You could say that it was because of the UN’s early decisions (personally I do). 75+ others are injured - many of the kills were because the armour plates in the back were removed from the Kevlar vests that the Rangers and Delta Force were wearing. This was a decision made by the JOC - Join Operations Command - and approved by the Clinton admin. Once a bullet entered the person's body through the back, it would then either bounce off the person's rib cage or off the metal plate in the center. This decision has been criticized repeatedly over time. Many Americans didn’t even know what Somalia looked like – they thought that it was just a jungle. Does anyone remember how many times the democrats have f’ed something up? No. Of course not, open party is "always right" when the opposite party is in the government.

- Because of this, directly and in directly, 800, 000 + Rwandans are killed in the genocide between the Tutsi and Hutu factions in Rwanda. What did the Clinton admin do? Nothing. They weren’t going to commit troops into a possibly hostile zone where they could be killed (10 Belgium peacekeepers were killed by the RGF - Rwanda Government Forces). After the mess up in Somalia, the Clinton admin wouldn’t lose any more votes to peacekeeping missions in Africa.

- Clinton bombed more countries during his two terms in office then bush has bombed yet. Why doesn’t that receive some major forms of criticism? No. He didn’t illegally invade any other countries according to some. However, the states started bombing on certain missions and aggressive operations before other forces, such as the UN did. Does that matter? Isn’t that invading a country illegally? Doesn’t that violate international law? Of course not, to many.

Lets put this back into perspective here. Overall, no matter what happens throughout all of history one thing will remain the same, no country will ever fully support their politicians and, every government will screw up in some way. Also, the media always puts a negative spin on things. Don’t trust what you read in the news papers or watch on the news. It’s usually twisted and slanted into the popular view that many of the public hold. The media isn’t supposed to lie, but, it does twist the truth into so many different variations that no one, even those who originally experienced what happened, realise what’s going on. The critic will always believe that they are in the right, it is impossible to change their views. But, what shouldn’t occur is the constant scapegoat of everyone who is suppose to be at fault even though they may have been “mislead” like everyone else. Try to place yourself into their shoes and try to see things from their decision making perspective before you jump right in and criticise.

Just my views, it may offend some but its what I believe.

Also, aprox. 18 billion dollars given to saddam's government by the food for oil charity seems to be supporting an evil regeme.

Come to think of it, that quote is very true. I'm sure we've all been in situations of some sort (vs parents, for example), where we can't do right for doing wrong.
