I had my birthday on the sixteenth, (and got a present from mother nature: it snowed! hurray, I love snow!) and the day after I received a letter notifying me that I passed the requirements for all of the honors classes in my local high school
Now, my question is this: Are honors courses so hard that I need a study hall period during school, or can I fill that in with an elective, and grab the extra credits? |

in highschool i woulda said take the studyhall. then i came to college and realized HS was a cakewalk in comparison. thats just me though. you may need the time. do you already spend alot of time at night doing homework? say, on average, maybe 1-1.5 hours more a day of homework (that was how much my HS was....although i never did any work so it didnt affect me). can you handle that? if not, take the studyhall |

i found that when i had studyhall i wasted most of the time. i had one studyhall first period, so i just came to school an horu late. i had one right after lunch, so i always took long lunches. i was in middle of day so i just screwed around and talked to friends. of course these all werent the same semester. |

first i have to say Jfet u double poster you
second i would say take the studyhall...see if u can get it first period or last that way you can leave early or come in late
then again if u get it in the middle of the day a mid day nap is always a bonus
AND HAPPY B-DAY ...even though its a day late _________________

Happy Belated birthday!
I think you should take the extra credit. Heres what i think you should do, Get all your credits that you need for your highschool done as early as possible, then your junior or senior year, take some college classes at a community college so they can be transfered to you college when it is time. This is a great way to get a good start on college, also our highschool had a program that allowed this, im not sure if your school does.
SO in conclusion, take a class and forget the study hall!
high school is NOTHING like college! _________________

LOL! Thanks Stevo!
Thanks everybody for your tips and well wishes! I think I'm going to go take Dom's route--sure, having a free period would be nice, but almost everyone's suggesting that study hall would be a lazy period and i want ACTION! ACHEIVEMENT! ACCOMPLISHMENT!
EXCELSIOR! |
