Anyone know how to change your font size/type in steam? Like if I wanted to make the dod font to appear larger.

copied from a halflife site.

Open trackerescheme.res (C:\program files\steam\skins\skinname\resources\) with Notepad and click edit -> find or ctrl + f. Then type in the search field “Engine Font” (including quote marks) and click find. You should see a list of 7 font styles numbered 1 to 7, here's what number "3" looks like by default:

"yres" "768 1023"

"dropshadow" "1"

}

Now if your resolution is 800x600 then you need to edit the second font style ("2").

The third font style is for resolutions of 600 x 767("3").

The fourth font style is for resolutions of 1024 x 768("4").

The fith font style is for resolutions of 1600 x 1200("5").

You can change the Font by changing the name,
e.g.("verdana bold") can be changed to ("arial").

The size of the font can also be changed by changing the height,
e.g."14" can become "17".

Font color:

Font color you can change with console command con_color.

Colors are based on RGB (red green blue) system.

For black it is 0 0 0, and for white 255 255 255.

You can use an RGB colour picker in any graphics program to generate an RGB value for a particular colour, such as Adobe Photoshop.

I think Roof's post is on how to change the font of the stuff outside of the game. The fonts.wad file is for in-game font like the chat.

Yep, trakerscheme.res controls both the fonts and all of the colors of your steam skin.
