|
|
I have recently encountered a problem with my browser. Anytime I try to download an image from a website, it wants to save as a bitmap image, when I know that the image is a jpg or gif. This just started happening recently and I am not sure how to resolve it. I prefer to download the images as they are and not converted to bitmap files. Anyone have any thoughts about this?
I checked my internet options panel and there is no option to convert or not convert image files when downloading.
This is annoying because when I want to download an animated gif image it wants to save as BMP. HMMMMMMMMM....
BTW sys specs are:
W2K Pro
IE 6.0 (*cough* teh suxor)
1.2 ghz CPU (not that this applies)
328 MB RAM _________________ JohnCarter, Warlord of Mars

Instead of using "Saving picture As" .. use "Copy" instead and paste it into the folder of your choice. _________________

When you save target as can't you click type and choose how to save it?? When I clicked the link I chose save target as and then i checked the type, i can choose between bmp or gif. I know it is silly but did you try to change type? _________________

i did try to save it as something besides a bitmap, but the only option in the drop down menu was BMP grrrr. I will run my spyware. It hasn't been done in a week or two. _________________ JohnCarter, Warlord of Mars

JCOM the picture is on your temp internet files just go in there and copy it to where you want it. _________________ All comments are not nessasary those of the author so should not be taken as so.

I had that exact same problem for a while, so did many. You've gotta delete every single temporary file and cookie you've got, clear out everything and it'll be fixed. |

I'm serious, just trash every file in your cookies and temp folder, it'll solve the problem. |
