Awesome job Mayor! Piece by piece, TheVille is steadily gaining more substance! I think I'll just start moving my furniture in right now and call it home!
Question though, is it possible to have the nicknames authenticated to prevent an imposter fiasco from happening?

first of all, yes I have to agree, the admins here are simply da bomb. First the mulch server, now a place where I can waste more time when I'm supposed to be working.
One suggestion, if authentication (as far as having a unique handle that someone couldnt impersonate) is a concern, you may want to consider using IRC for a chat program. Check out http://www.gamesnet.net and look at the chat link. That is one example of what I'm talking about. Also you could download IRC, from somewhere like http://www.mirc.com, which is a very nice chat application that the majority of the clanning community uses. I find IRC to be quite nice for online gaming in general, but being a complete novice at web design I have no idea how hard of a task making an IRC chat applet integrated into this webpage would be. At any rate, I just wanted to say all the hardwork that goes into this website and maintaining the servers is very appreciated. |
