Just wondering what other TV players use for gaming mice. I have been using Logitech Trackman Wheel mice for some time now but the their life span is only about 6 months or less. Logitech has been very good about replacing them when they fail. They have a great warrenty which is 5 years but I am awaiting my 5 replacement mouse right now. Anyone have any suggestions on a good trackball?

I use a Mouse-Trak track ball. There a little pricey, but worth every penny.

Does anyone really care what kind of mouse an Engie uses? I'll tell you anyway.
Thom uses a Logitech cordless mouse and keyboard, both of which are great. They've been abused for a year and a half without a problem. The mouse is fairly heavy with the batteries, which gives it a balanced, solid feel.
I'm thinking of moving up to the new Logitech cordless hi-res optical mouse, if only to have a nicer mouse than Frag.

I had a MS Optical Mouse( don't bother buying one) I had to left it up quite often to reset it because while playing TFC it would just wig out. I now use a traditional flavor of the month. I go through mices like crazy, but the best I have found is the MS Basic.

Out of interest, do any of you use some sort of "gamepad" instead of a mouse and keyboard ??? If so what do you use and do you think it gives you an advantage ????

I use the Logitech optical mouse. It's been a nice step up from the el-cheap-o regular mouse that I used to have. I didn't think it would make that much of a difference, it does.
I thought about going cordless as well as optical but decided against it because I'm cheap and I didn't want to have to fuss with the batteries. I paid $39 for the optical vs $79 for the cordless optical.

Apache_Eyes - I don't use a gamepad, but I do use a joystick (don't laugh). I use a Saiteck Cyborg and the mouse. The Cyborg had plenty of buttons that I could assign and, most importantly, could be set up to work left handed so I could still use the mouse to aim with my right hand.
It works well for me but I am definitely in the minority on this one. I don't know anyone who uses a pad.

I have a Logitech Ifeel optical (yeah feedback, use it very rarely) mouse on my main PC. And a couple normal Logitech opticals on my other 2.
Don't like old mice. Unless I use a ratpadz or something similar. Its the only way I can get close to the optical accuracy. But its been awile since I used one. Sticking with optical now.

I am currently on my 2nd MS Optical Mouse (the gray one w/ a button on either side). My first one had some problems, but this 2nd one seems to have cleared them all up.
The old mouse couldnt prime grenades from the side buttons, it would just toss the gren whether I held down the button or not. And it would lock up if I strafed around somebody really fast trying to get a backstab
The first mouse stopped working so I emailed MS and they sent me a new one for free after it could not be fixed.
I am completly happy with the MS Optical Mouse and would reccommend it to anyone with a dust clogged mouse. I'll never go back to the balled-mouse. |

I must be the only person who uses the mouse that came with my computer (2 buttons AND a scroller!) and the default keys...

Mouse? Joystick?
Don't you just control the computer with your mind?
Hmm guess I'm the only one...
